5 & 6 NOVEMBER 2016

50 HAMILTON AVENUE, BRYANSTON

10am – 5pm

What’s this? A vegetable “farm” in the middle of suburbia!

With the demise of an old tree this garden opened to let the sunshine in and with it the owners changed their ideas from flower gardening to a sustainable situation where vegetables have become the order of the day. Permaculture is employed here and a “no dig policy” and along with ecological principles used the result is a vegetable garden filled with colour, abundance and life.

This garden has not lost in attraction as trellises and raised beds are approached though an archway where brick paths and planters have be made from recycled materials surrounding a central pond and chickens are invited to control bugs and supply manure.

A myriad of ideas are to be found here, much for us all to appreciate.
