2017 Orchid Show at GardenShop FloraFarm promises an enchanting display

This spring, GardenShop FloraFarm and the East Rand Orchid Society invite you to join them on Saturday, 2 September to Sunday, 3 September 2017 from 9am to 3pm, where a spectacular array of rare and exquisite orchids will be on display.

A celebration of the exotic flowering plants, the event will showcase exuberant displays of up to 150 flowering orchids of 50 different varieties, offering visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves among the exquisite flowers.

Each day, the East Rand Orchid Society will host a discussion on ‘Basic Orchid Care’ from 11am to 12pm and thereafter, join a workshop on re-potting and dividing orchids from 2pm to 3pm.

The Saturday leg of the event will welcome special guest, experienced décor stylist and retail merchandiser Greg Williams, who will show you how to create a floral décor masterpiece using only orchids. He will host a demonstration at 9am.

On Sunday at 9am, horticulturalist and plant lover Trevyn Riekert, alias GardenGuru at GardenShop, will share expert gardening advice on the care of Bromeliads and Air Plants.

Make the most of the experience by interacting with green industry partners, including Efekto, Hadeco, Culterra and Protek, and stocking up on orchid-related merchandise at the most competitive prices during GardenShop’s operating hours: 8am to 5pm.

To make an enquiry, contact Musa or Constance at GardenShop FloraFarm on 011 894 2377/8. Entry is free of charge, and giveaways and prizes will be available.
