Growing Herb Garden workshop

Sue’s Rosemary Stroganoff


  • 500g Minute Steak Chopped in Blocks
  • 250g Button Mushrooms Sliced
  • 1 Onion Chopped
  • ½ Cup Fresh Chopped Rosemary
  • 1 Beef Stock Cube
  • 500ml Robertson Natural Sweet Red Wine
  • 250ml Fresh Cream


  • Fry Onion and Chopped Rosemary in butter until onions are golden.
  • Add cubes of minute steak and brown the cubes.
  • Add beef stock, mushrooms and wine and season with black pepper to taste. (do not add salt – the stock is salty enough).
  • Simmer slowly until most
    of the wine has cooked
  • Add cream and simmer
    until the cream thickens.

To Serve:

  • Serve on a bed of Mash Potatoes.
  • Sprinkle a mixture of finely chopped parsley, grated lemon rind and a dash of garlic (Gremolata) on top before serving.
