Multigreen Lettuce

Lactuca sativa

Lactuca sativa or Multigreen Lettuce.  A modern variety of lettuce with a short crown. Harvesting and cleaning is easy: one cut releases all the leaves. Every leaf is about the same length, uniformly serrated with a crisp yet succulent bite. Very long-lasting before or after harvest.

Grow in moist but well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. With its decorative appeal it’s also at home in an ornamental border, grown as edging or scattered among other plants.
