  • Lysimachia nummularia ‘Aurea’ is an attractive cultivar of L. nummularia. This plant is also known as Yellow Creeping Jenny
  • Yellow creeping jenny is a moderately fast grower and is one of the most undemanding stem plants to grow.
  • It can tolerate soft or hard water, pH in the 6.0-8.0 range, and temps from 15-25 C.
  • Yellow creeping jenny is a species off flowering plant
  • It is an evergreen perennial that grows to 5cm high. The leaves are rounded and cup shaped yellow flowers
  • It is also suitable for bog gardens or as an aquatic marginal plant
  • They withstand damper soils than many other types off ground covers and can tolerate limited foot traffic
  • Grows in moist, well drained soil, rich in organic matter. Soil should not dry out in Summer
  • Best time to propagate is in Spring/Autumn
  • They are moderately fast growing ground cover
  • Yellow creeping jenny is used in herbalism
  • Excellent ground cover for areas where it can be left alone to spread or naturalize, such as banks, woodland gardens, along paths, or in moist areas near water gardens or along streams, pools or ponds.
  • Also can be planted to cover or spill over stone walls. Interesting selection for hanging baskets. Probably too aggressive a spreader for border fronts or areas adjacent to lawns. Yellow foliage provides excellent contrast and color for shade areas.
