Butterhead Lettuce

Lactuca sativa

Lactuca sativa or Butterhead Lettuce.  A loose-leaf lettuce, with pretty bright green crimped leaves and a good flavour. Suitable for salads and also garnishing.

Grow in moist but well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. With its decorative appeal it’s also at home in an ornamental border, grown as edging or scattered among other plants.
