Econo Pack Erigeron karvinskianus
Econo Pack Erigeron karvinskianus – Also known as the Swan River Daisy. Low growing groundcover that will grow beautifully amongst other annuals as well as in pots. The flowers are white and pink, flowering throughout the summer. It can grow to a height of 30cm and will spread to at least a metre.
A member of the daisy family. Dainty plants with small, white daisy-like flowers tinged with pink. Fast-spreading and hummock-forming, they are ideal for rock gardens and for edging pathways. Plants form a low mound of grey-green leaves, bearing small white daisies that age to soft pink. Even in cold regions this will act as a self-seeding annual and bloom all season long. Superb in containers or window boxes and on rock walls. Being native to Mexico, this is well suited to regions with arid, warm summers. Seeds can be scattered into odd cracks and corners where they will germinate and grow. Attractive to butterflies.
Sprawling perennial daisy to 40 cm tall with fibrous roots, and long thin stems (from 15-70 cm long) that are sparsely hairy to hairless, much-branching and root at nodes. Small, narrow leaves (upper leaves usually 3-lobed) are fragrant when crushed. White, white-purplish or pink daisy-like flowers with a central yellow disc are produced from January to December, followed by masses of fluffy seeds.
